Overview

Video2Post is a WordPress plugin I developed to automate the conversion of video footage into complete news articles. It uses AI transcription and content generation, reducing publishing time from 30–60 minutes per video to under five.

• Batch Upload for video and image files
• AssemblyAI for speech-to-text transcription
• OpenAI for clean, readable article generation
• Automatic Post Creation with media, formatting, and SEO
• Shortcode Support for weather and sports updates
• Configurable Settings: language, length, status, and phone formatting

My Contributions

• Designed plugin structure and batch file-handling system
• Built settings interface and shortcode rendering logic
• Implemented secure API integrations
• Created fallback logic and custom dictionary parsing for word correction

Outcomes

The plugin drastically improved editorial efficiency and reduced repetitive tasks. It integrates tightly with WordPress and supports editors who may not be technical, providing both speed and consistency in publishing workflows.
